"Phoenix woman dies from injuries she suffered in an assisted living home"

"A 12 News investigation by Wendy Halloran (KPNX-Phoenix) reveals the Maricopa County Attorney's Office lacks manpower and the prosecutors caseload is too heavy to make a determination about whether to charge a woman with negligent homicide.

"It stems from the suspicious death of a 74-year-old woman living in a private assisted living home. An email thread between the victim's daughter and the Deputy County Attorney proves it. But Maricopa County Attorney Bill Montgomery won't talk about it."
