2012 New York 3-day Boot Camp

IRE is bringing its highly-rated computer-assisted reporting training to the East Coast in a special Boot Camp hosted by the Tow Center for Digital Journalism at Columbia Journalism School. Dig deeper and develop a foundation for CAR. This three-day, hands-on session introduces data analysis with spreadsheets and databases.

With Jennifer LaFleur of ProPublica and Jaimi Dowdell of IRE you'll learn to sort, summarize, join and graphically display data.  With the power of Microsoft Excel and Access, you'll be able to mine data for stories. Unleash the power of spreadsheets and databases to help you ask smarter questions, work more efficiently and produce more watchdog reporting.

This boot camp is currently full.  Please check the IRE training calendar for other upcoming training events.
