The Sarasota Herald-Tribune is hiring reporters for open positions on the city desk and business desk. We want people who can master their beat and turn a daily story around quickly but also regularly pursue enterprise and watchdog journalism. We are seeking reporters with a range of experience; we have some positions suitable for veterans and some for young reporters.
The Herald-Tribune has developed a national reputation for high-level journalism, and its reporters have won numerous state and national awards — including winning the 2011 Pulitzer Prize for investigative reporting and being a Pulitzer finalist in 2008 and 2010. Many of our stories that won the most prestigious national awards came from our schools, cops or business reporters. We want reporters who can help us continue that tradition.
