Enterprise Editor

The News Journal and, the statewide daily newspaper and web site in Delaware, has an immediate opening for an experienced enterprise editor who can inspire reporters and elevate stories.

We still believe in newspapers published seven days a week. But, we are a digital-first newsroom, one that insists on good journalism. After all, a bad story on a good app is still a bad story. There is a strong culture for investigative and enterprise journalism here; often, what we uncover leads directly to change or new state laws.

Editors have a cooperative working relationship, sharing the planning and producing of daily, short-term and long-term stories with the expectation that all plan, edit and manage high-level journalism.

The right candidate will have experience leading long-term enterprise efforts while keeping the daily report fully stocked. You will lead a team of reporters, all driven to produce great journalism.
