Investigative Producer/Multi Media Journalist

W*USA 9, the CBS affiliate in Washington DC, is looking for an Investigative Producer/Multi-Media Journalist to work in our investigative unit.  This person will research, write, shoot and edit investigative stories for on-air and all digital platforms.  The ideal candidate will have a strong background as an investigative producer or reporter with strong knowledge of  computer-assisted reporting and research under the Freedom of Information Act .  Must understand how to take complex stories and put them together so they are understandable, balanced, legal and compelling.  The producer will also be responsible for posting stories, photos and images to the web as well as preparing video for streaming.  Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.    

Requirements:

Candidate must have a minimum of three years experience as a producer or reporter of investigative journalism for a broadcast news, network, newspaper, web site or syndicated show. Non-linear video editing and videography experience a plus.  Must be willing to train in editing and photography if not experienced.  Must have car and valid drivers license.  A Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or a related field is preferred.  We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
