Investigative Reporter
Description: Hard-hitting, investigative, seasoned, on-air reporter for the national award winning investigative team at the NBC television affiliate in Southwest Florida.
Responsibility: You will be part of the largest, established television investigative team in the market. Since its inception the NBC2 Investigators have won three National Murrows; multiple regional Murrows and AP awards. You will be expected to join another investigator and two photojournalists to uncover exclusive stories with high-impact and wide-spread interest; dig deeper into breaking news stories; cultivate contacts; and know FOIA and Sunshine Laws. You must be able to produce lead stories on a consistent basis; be comfortable in front of the camera; be able to ad lib smoothly on live television; and have the ability to edit stories.
Requirements:

Four years of experience as a television reporter, including “live” experience; two of those years must have a focus on investigative reporting

Four-year college degree (journalism preferred)

Superior communication skills

Accurate and creative writing skills

Ability to maintain professional appearance
