Investigative Reporter

Investigative Post, a non-profit investigative reporting center in Buffalo, NY, is seeking an energetic, aggressive reporter to cover regional environmental issues.

Job candidates should have at least 3-5 years of reporting experience; background covering environmental issues a plus, but not a necessity. We're looking for a hard-nosed reporter adept at both shoe-leather and computer-assisted reporting; all the better if you're proficient in digital story telling and social media. Must be comfortable working with data and complex subject matter.

Reporter will produce investigations, analyses, breaking news, and blog and social media posts. Your work will receive wide distribution, as Investigative Post has partnerships with print, television and radio outlets, as well as a dynamic website.

Please send cover letter, resume and three samples of best work to Jim Heaney, Editor & Executive Director, Investigative Post, at jobs@investigativepost.org.

Heaney is attending IRE conference in Boston June 13-17 and will be available to interview job candidates.
