Investigative Reporter

Description:

  • Enterprises and reports daily news stories for on air and online

  • Regularly breaks news on-air and online

  • Writes scripts for stories and reviews material with Executive Producer

  • Interviews appropriate people to cover investigative/consumer stories

  • Contacts sources and develops news stories

  • Assists in editing the stories.

  • Contributes story ideas and attends story conferences

  • Develops stories assigned by the assignment desk

  • Develops special assignment series as directed by the Executive Producer and Producers

  • Photography and editing experience preferred

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years experience as an investigative or general assignment reporter

  • Ability to develop strong contacts

  • Desire strong writing skills, pre-production skills, consistent follow-up and good live shot presence
