Digital Producer
This person would lead our digital business news coverage. He/she would be responsible for coordinating and editing business content online — breaking news and enterprise, plus aggregating business content from elsewhere. Responsibilities would include supervising the development of digital-first content; overseeing quality control and placement of business news on all digital platforms, engaging constituencies throughout the business department regarding digital opportunities, recruiting business voices to blog, orchestrating community engagement and interactivity with business readers, and managing content between print and digital platforms. The producer also would directly supervise a reporter who focuses on digital content.
Qualifications: The producer must possess strong editing abilities, natural instincts for business journalism and strong organizational skills. Must have multimedia and social media skills, and be comfortable with Smartphone video platforms. Some training will be provided if necessary for the right candidate. Must have at least 10 years experience as a journalist.
Hours: 8-5, M-F, occasional nights and weekends
Pay structure: Top minimum for this position is $74,737 annually
