| Summary | These stories explored a local instance of absentee ballot vote fraud in the spring primary election. The Times found ballots had been cast in the names of people who had long ago moved away, who ere in jail or who were dead. The investigation also found a strong indication that fraud had taken place in the precinct for years. Separately, the Times examined the dangers presented by Indiana's liberalized absentee ballot voting coupled with the coming of postcard registration. (May 1, 3, 19, 22, 1994) |
