Sex Sells
The Nashville Banner's three-day series blows the lid off one of Nashville's most lucrative -- and most secret-- industries: The selling of sex. The story reveals the small group of people who own and operate strip joints, massage parlors and escort services in Music City U.S.A., which are often thinly-veiled fronts for prostitution. The series reveals how Nashville's city leaders have failed to regulate the adult industry yet receive almost no benefit from these businesses through taxes. (Sept. 25-27, 1996)
