Description

During the summer of 2003, 17 dogs were poisoned in Portland Park in the middle of a "leash law" controversy. The story uncovers that the controversy continues with the discovery of a county employee's website, www.leashyourdog.com. The site was put up in an effort to expose violators of "leash laws" by posting photos of people illegally walking their dogs at Portland Park. The website operator was also believed to be a "person of interest in the dog poisonings" and had a prior conviction of animal abuse. During the course of the investigation, the website operator took down the "leash law" website and turned it into a pornographic website which featured the KATU reporter doing the story.
