Description

A Dateline investigation of housing siding known as synthetic stucco revealed that "if moisture gets behind the [siding], it will remain trapped against the wood sheathing and framing, essentially rotting the home from the inside out." Synthetic stucco "incorporates a layer of polystyrene around the walls of a home, which is then coated with a thin layer of stucco. This system is supposed to provide a relatively cheap and efficient way to insulate a home."
