Description

This 12-month investigation revealed how an Air Force Academy cadet was being charged with rape despite undisputed facts in the case indicating his innocence. The report suggested the cadet was being made a scapegoat for the academy, which had not forwarded to a military court a single case of more than 100 sexual assault allegations. Following the publication of Potter's detailed narrative, the rape charge against the cadet was dismissed and the Secretary of the Air Force withdrew his name from being considered for the position of Secretary of the Army.
