Description

This article tells the story of two parents trying to adopt an international student and examines the international adoption process. Dexheimer finds that although many adoption agencies -- or individuals claiming to be affiliated with the agencies -- usually are legitimate, there are many gray areas in the adoption process. This gray area is where many opportunistic individuals take advantage of the process and profit from it, resulting in literally selling children. He writes about the troubles the parents had once the child was adopted and how they ended up in court.
