The St. Louis Post-Dispatch investigates the rise and fall of Malcolm Cheek, president of an engineering company, who bilked banks and stockowners of Y&A Group of millions of dollars; the investigation found that Cheek was the front man for a group of Wall Street analysts, brokers and investors who had worked to drive up the stock price of Y&A Group. Cheek pled guilty to fraud and other charges, Apr. 3 - 5, 10, and June 5, 1994.
