Description

A USA Today examination of the federal prosecution system across the nation finds that where you commit a federal crime may play a larger role in determining your sentence than the seriousness of the crime itself. The series found that US Attorneys in some of the worst crime-ridden areas fail to go after serious crimes because they lack the manpower, whereas relatively minor offenses in some safer communities recieve the full brunt of federal prosecution, June 22 - 23, 1994.
