"The drug resistance program taught by police officers to fifth graders is highly popular in Michigan in spite of its $2 million price tag in Metro Detroit alone, and a growing body of evidence that suggested the program was ineffective. The Detroit News looked at more than 10 years of survey results from thousands of high-schoolers in Metro Detroit, -- both kids who had been through the program and those who had not -- and found the program " was ineffective.
