Description

The Denver Post uncovered a dark secret at one of Colorado's most well respected health care facilities, Denver's non-profit Children's Hospital. The Post found that doctors were routinely misdiagnosing children with craniosynostosis, a condition resulting from the premature fusing of plates in a child's head, and pressuring parents to approve surgury that would allow doctors to crack their skulls apart, reshape them, add bone and wire them back together. (Oct. 29, Nov. 19, Dec. 7 & 9, 1995)
