The WTVT-TV series reveales that the Hillsborough County Emergency Medical System of (EMS) was taking too long to reach people in need. Some paramedics and doctors believed that as a direct result, people were dying. The investigation uncovered numerous cases where long response times may have played a fatal role. WTVT-TV also obtained and anaylzed internal EMS documents that showed the county's response times often failed to meet state, national and local standards for response times.
