This article deals with the murder of reporter Don Bolles which occurred on June 2, 1976. After turning his steering wheel, a bomb exploded and eleven days later he died due to complications. The bomb was placed by John Harvey Adamson who, after prosecutors prepared to take him to trial, cut a deal to testify against his co-conspirators. He claimed that Max Dunlap, a millionaire, hired him to kill Bolles and two others. After 20 years, there are still unanswered questions in this case. Dunlap was retried in 1993 and found guilty.
