Education Week looks at the Aurora Partnership for Teaching program, involving Aurora University and Waubonsee Community College in Illinois. The program "plunges college students into the life of a local school from their first moment on campus." The story describes how freshmen have the opportunity to connect with youngsters at the Fearn Elementary School, which was built as a teaching laboratory. "Some experts worry that college students may be spending too much time learning how to teach at the expense of mastering the subject matter they will need," the publication reports.
