The San Jose Mercury News investigates the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and its failure to crack down on executives in many Silicon Valley firms who still have trouble reporting securities transactions in a timely manner. Although SEC made a vow in 1991 to clean up delinquent reporting of securities, their failure to do so has bred contempt in the investment community. (June 28, 1993)
