Description
Immediately after a new law – SB1421 - went into effect on January 1, 2019, requiring certain police misconduct records to be made public, our investigative unit went to work to access and analyze those records. We surveyed police departments across Northern California about their training methods and policies. Based on law enforcement sources and our own research, we chose to focus on two police departments.
