Lamdin uncovered that the chief of the Burlington Police Department, Brandon del Pozo, created an anonymous Twitter account in July 2019 that he then used to troll a critic. When Lamdin asked the chief in July whether he’d done so, he lied. It only came out months later, in December, when Lamdin asked the Burlington mayor about it. Unbeknownst to the news media and the general public, a family and medical leave of absence the chief had taken shortly after Lamdin asked about the account in July had been related to the anonymous Twitter account and his lie to Lamdin.
