Get started using data in your stories with this half-day, hands-on workshop. Experienced data journalist Andrew Ford will introduce the basics of navigating Google Sheets and using formulas, then walk you through sorting, filtering and aggregating data with pivot tables to find story ideas.
The special three-hour, hands-on class would benefit all reporters, editors, students and educators seeking to learn how to make numbers tell the story.
You must be a current IRE member to sign-up for this class. Seating is limited.
You must bring your own laptop (no tablets) to participate in this class, and you will need a free Google account to participate.
