IRE takes the health and safety of all attendees at its events seriously and follows the guidelines of CDC, state/local health authorities and the conference venue.
All NICAR attendees must be vaccinated against COVID-19. Masks aren’t required unless you receive a religious or medical vaccination exemption, but IRE encourages all attendees to use masks indoors to protect themselves and those around them. For more information and details, go here.Â
The conference is taking place at Minneapolis Marriott City Center. IRE has secured a discounted block of rooms. The room rate is $209 per night plus tax. This block is available until Tuesday, February 11, 2025 or until the block is full (whichever occurs first). Click here to make reservations.
If you need to cancel your reservation, you must do so 72 hours prior to your arrival to avoid any cancellation fees. For any questions on lodging or travel, please email logistics@ire.org.Â
NICAR25 will offer a mix of panels, demos, discussions, networking and hands-on data training. A list of expected sessions will be posted by mid-November. Full session and speaker details will be released in early 2025.Â
Lightning Talks, a much-anticipated event at every NICAR conference, are 5-minute presentations on particular skills, tools or techniques. Pitches are submitted and voted on by NICAR25 attendees.

If you are interested in having an event or meeting during NICAR25, please reach out to logistics@ire.org to discuss options available based on availability during the time and date you are looking for along with any associated costs. IRE does ask that events do not overlap with educational programming.
Please keep in mind that no outside food or drink can be brought into meeting space per hotel contracts.Â
The 2025 NICAR logo is a nod to the "Spoonbridge and Cherry" sculpture, located in the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden and created by artists Claes Oldenburg and Coosje van Bruggen.
NICAR25 will not include virtual sessions. Our goal is to provide the best possible experience and we have found, based on attendee feedback, that a hybrid event does not meet the highest level of standards that IRE members have come to expect. We instead have significantly bolstered our affordable and accessible virtual training opportunities scheduled throughout the year, including the all-virtual AccessFest conference in the fall. We’d love to hear from you on what else you’d like to see. Fill this form out any time you have an idea for an event.
Looks like you haven't made a choice yet.
