Description

Press Uncuffed bracelets are made by journalism students at the University of Maryland and their professor – Pulitzer Prize-winning Washington Post reporter Dana Priest – to raise money to free imprisoned journalists around the world. The bracelets bear the names of nine of the 221 journalists languishing in prison. Proceeds support the Committee to Protect Journalists’ (CPJ) emergency fund, which advocates for journalists in danger.

The bracelets are made in Memphis, Tennessee with LuciteLux® clear acrylic to remind us of the importance of transparency of information. They come in four sizes:

  • Small is approximately 7” including a .5” opening
  • Medium is approximately 7.75” including a .75" opening
  • Large is approximately 8.25” including a .75" opening
  • Extra large is approximately 8.75” including a .75" opening

We recommend taking a tape measure and wrapping it around your wrist to see what feels best for you. The small and medium tend to fit most women. The medium and large work for most men. Please know that the bracelets are not form fitting; the material cannot be bent to fit tighter. In order to keep the price down and optimize our donation to the CPJ, Press Uncuffed cannot accept returns.
