Need advice to finish that project? Sign up for IRE's Mentor program

Update: Deadline to sign up for a mentor has been extended to May 23.

Get the most out of the IRE conference by signing up for a mentor.

Since IRE was founded, our members have trained and taught their fellow journalists innovative skills to perform great journalism.  IRE's mentor program at the 2011 Conference in Orlando follows in that tradition by pairing up journalists with more experienced veterans of the field.  These private sessions allow attendees to seek advice on challenging stories or followup ideas. IRE will pair you up with a mentor and contact information is provided to both of you. Then, you determine a time and place to meet at the conference.

The mentor program has helped dozens of journalists in their career.  Read how a mentor helped Reyna Gobel publish her first book and other success stories.

These sessions are not for job seekers; they are designed for teaching and sharing information. You should bring examples of work and story ideas. (Note: IRE is unable to provide private access to audiovisual equipment for broadcast mentoring. Please make your own arrangements if your mentor agrees to review a work sample.)

You must have registered for the conference and have signed up for a mentor by May 23.
