IRE seeks director of partnerships

Investigative Reporters and Editors is looking to fill a new staff position designed to amplify IRE’s momentum in fostering and expanding watchdog reporting across the United States and around the world.

The IRE director of partnerships will lead a critical portfolio of duties connected to business relationships, fundraising, grant management, and fellowships and scholarships. The director will work closely with IRE’s executive director, financial officer, and other staff members to advance the organization’s mission and expand its impact. The director of partnerships will report to the IRE executive director.

While IRE is based at the University of Missouri, the director of partnerships can work remotely. 

The successful job candidate will have a proven track record of achievement in creating and managing business partnerships, fundraising and grant-writing. Experience working as a journalist or at a journalism organization is not required but is preferred.
