Description

Defense reporter David Morrissey released a series of articles in 1986 with new details about two nuclear accidents in New Mexico -- one of which involved the B-36 aircraft and the Mark-17 hydrogen bomb. The bomb that was accidentally dropped from a jet aircraft south of Kirtland Air Force Base in 1957 was hundreds of times more powerful than the one dropped on Hiroshima. This packet details how none of this information was available prior to Morrissey's filing of numerous Freedom of Information requests. Also provides a step-by-step guide to using FOIA. There is a video tape available of Morrissey's FOIA presentations to students at the University of Hawaii.
