Description

This tipsheet is a copy of a complaint filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on August 23, 1999. The plaintiffs, two California state prison inmates, were thrown into solitary confinement for contacting the news media to report fraudulent business practices at a California prison. Inmates were allegedly ordered to replace "Made in Honduras" labels on garments from No Fear, Newport Blues, Mecca, U.S.A. and Trinidad Tees with "Made in the U.S.A." labels.
