Description

MIDIS is a way to determine how valid a website's information is; the system is especially helpful to journalists trying to decide if information is accurate enough to be included in a report. The tipsheet lists different sources for information online and describes how accurate information from those sources is. For example, federal government data is generally more accurate than local government data.
