Unnamed sources can be the key to a powerful whistleblowing investigation, or can damage the credibility of your story. Or both. This presentation discusses situations that justify granting confidentiality to a source, as well as those that don’t. It discusses how to use unnamed sources as a pathway to documentation or named sources. It also discusses how to persuade a source to speak on the record.
