Description

This investigation looked in detail at the death of black motorist Jonny Gammage at the hands of five white suburban police officers after a traffic stop that occurred two years before. While no knows for sure exactly what happened or why, the section revealed new details about the traffic stop itself, including a new theory about why it may have occurred; new details about the struggle and Gammage's subsequent asphyxiation as he lay pinned to the ground; and new details about the legal strategies and maneuvering that followed Gammage's death.
