Description

Ganey and O'Neil of the Post-Dispatch tell the story of Jettie Banks, the son of an illiterate farmer, who has become one of St. Louis area's most influential and controversial political figures. Banks, a black Democrat senator, "has used several different years for his birth, four different names and two Social Security numbers," the story reveals. The reporters look into Banks' murky past and focus especially on his suspected role in the murder of a political rival in 1972.
