Working with Mothers Against Drunk Driving, Bellevue police chief Mike Bookser, and his sixteen year old son, action news illustrated how easy it is to purchase alcohol on the Internet The investigation showed how several companies' online policies and disclaimers regarding minors were ignored. Viewers watched the minor place the orders, bypass age requirements, and eventually pick up cases of alcohol from his front porch. No questions asked, no ID required, no personal interaction with another human being. The investigation also found out people who receive alcohol via Internet purchases are breaking federal law, circumventing state laws ands state taxes.
