Description

An investigation into the ere-built wreck industry which showed how unscrupulous car dealers took advantage of loopholes between various state laws to hide serious defects in used cars. Dateline exposed one major rebuilder in Alabama involved in a multi-state operation whose shoddy work resulted in one young woman being left a quadrapalegic. The program also tracked hundreds of cars junked by the state of Florida after Hurricane Opal which ended up back on the road in states all across the county.
