KFOX's investigation of mailing lists and the information contained in them. The authors made up a fake name of a company to see if they could get a mailing list containing detailed information about girls aged 6-12 from a direct mail advertising company. The authors received the mailing list in exchanged for very little information about who they were and what product was being marketed. The list contained addresses, phone numbers and names of heads of households of homes where 2700 girls aged 6-12 live in El Paso county.
