Description

Press of Atlantic City (N.J.) reports on the death of a not-for-profit HMO that was seized by the state of New Jersey in 1988; the state said that the directors of the HMO had looted the company, which was established to aid the poor; critics say the state mismanaged Omnicare so badly that it was impossible to rehabilitate it, Oct. 13, 1991.
