Description

Getting child support payments can be troublesome for a variety of reasons. One of the problems stems from "deadbeat parents" who do not make the payments in the first place. Bergo has found another problem, "deadbeat states". Many states are getting better at collecting from deadbeat parents but are now causing the same problem by sitting on that collected money and not distributing it to the families that need it. "$738 million in child support payments were sitting in state coffers, undistributed, at the end of Fiscal 2000."
