2025 IRE Conference

IRE’s annual investigative journalism conference will take place in New Orleans, June 19-22, 2025.

The conference begins Thursday, June 19 at 9 a.m. and runs daily until 12:30 p.m. Sunday, June 22.

Registration Fees

You must be an IRE member through July 1 to attend the conference.

Please log into your IRE account before trying to buy a ticket. If you are not a current member, the 'Get Tickets' box will appear empty. You should renew your membership or apply to join IRE before purchasing a conference ticket.

Professional (general), Academic, Associate, Retiree

• Early bird: $375 ends at midnight (ET) Monday, April 22, 2025
• Regular: $450 ends at midnight (ET) Tuesday, June 17, 2025
• On-site: $500 starts Wednesday, June 18, 2025

Early-career OR *professional (general) members who are either unemployed or work as a full-time freelancer
*If you are a current professional (general) member and you are either unemployed or work as a full-time freelancer, there will be a form posted here for you to fill out.

• Early bird: $199 for the first 100 registrations or until ---.
• Regular and on-site: $299 starts on ---.

Student

• Early bird: $100 ends at midnight (ET) Monday, April 22, 2025
• Regular: $125 ends at midnight (ET) Tuesday, June 17, 2025
• On-site: $150 starts Wednesday, June 18, 2025

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be sent via email to logistics@ire.org. All cancellations must be in writing. There is a $50 processing fee for all cancellations until June 2. After that date, requests for refunds will be considered case by case. Membership fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. 

Recording Notice

All IRE events are subject to being photographed, video/audio-recorded, screen captured and/or live-streamed. Attendees, speakers, sponsors and exhibitors may be captured via these formats. All conference sessions, materials and activities are subject to recording by IRE and may be reproduced in part or whole, and distributed or used in any way consistent with IRE’s mission.
