Elevate your investigative and data skills by joining IRE for a day of professional development training in Chicago at the Medill School of Journalism's downtown campus at Northwestern University, on May 10, 2024.
This workshop will have something for everyone — whether you're a reporter, student, editor, educator, producer, freelancer or all of the above and then some — you'll be guaranteed a plethora of new tips, tricks, and skills for your tool belt, ideas for your next story and connections with some of the top investigative and data journalists in the country.
The workshop will run from 9:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. on Friday, May 10. Current IRE membership is required to attend. Join or renew today.
Workshop Fees
Registration is $75 for professional, academic, associate and retiree members. Students can register for $25.
All attendees must be current IRE members. To purchase tickets, you need to log into your member profile.

Location
The workshop will be held at the Medill School of Journalism's downtown campus at Northwestern University located at 303 E. Wacker Drive, Suite 1650, Chicago, IL 60601. All attendees must show a government-issued ID upon arrival.
Parking
There is a parking garage in the building, which can be accessed through lower Columbus Drive. Parking is around $26 daily. We do not recommend street parking in this area, as it is very expensive. Address for parking garage: 225 Lower Columbus Drive, Chicago.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be sent via email to logistics@ire.org. All cancellations must be in writing. There is a $30 processing fee for all cancellations until April 5. After that date, requests for refunds will be considered case by case. Membership fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Recording Notice
All IRE events are subject to being photographed, video/audio-recorded, screen captured and/or live-streamed. Attendees, speakers, sponsors and exhibitors may be captured via these formats. All sessions, materials and activities are subject to recording by IRE and may be reproduced in part or whole, and distributed or used in any way consistent with IRE’s mission.
