Learn how to use Flourish, a free, online tool to build custom visualizations from your spreadsheets, no coding required. Flourish grew out of Kiln, the award-winning data studio that has helped dozens of organizations to visualize and tell stories with data.

This session is good for: Anyone familiar with spreadsheets. No visualization experience required.

Speaker Bios

  • Chan is the News Ecosystem Lead at the Google News Lab where she helps develop new products for journalists. Previously, she was the director of digital operations at The Washington Post, elevating performance through analyses, training, and product development. Other roles include POLITICO's director of digital products USA TODAY's online Washington editor. She has a B.A. from the USC and a M.S. and M.A. from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
