Speaker Bios

  • Melissa Davlin is host of Idaho Reports on Idaho Public Television, and is an Emmy-winning producer for Idaho Experience. She is vice president of the Idaho Press Club, and chairwoman of the First Amendment Committee, which advocates for government transparency and press access throughout Idaho. Davlin has received multiple professional awards, including IPC Broadcast Reporter of the Year and Boise State University's 2019 Enhancing Public Discourse Award. @davlinnews

  • Investigative reporter Nicole Foy covers Latinos, agriculture and government accountability issues. She's a proud native of California's Central Valley and previously worked for the Idaho Press and the Orange County Register. Her Hispanic affairs beat reporting in Idaho won first place in the 2018 Associated Press regional awards. Twitter: @nicoleMfoy

  • Deb is a partner in the Boise law firm of Givens Purlsey. She regularly represents the media in public access issues and, when necessary, litigation. Deb also serves on the board of the Idaho Press Club.
