It's not too late to come to the IRE conference in Baltimore

While early-bird registration has ended, you have not missed your opportunity to attend this great training event.  On-site registrations will be accepted beginning Wednesday evening from 4-6 p.m. and will continue Thursday – Saturday during the conference, being held at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront, 700 Aliceanna Street.

Learn from the best in the business, including Bob Woodward, Seymour Hersh, Barlett and Steele, Brian Ross, David Simon and keynote speaker Jon Klein of CNN. Attend sessions that will help you dig into the issues surrounding the economic crisis, use technology to improve your reporting and reach your audience, and provide better watchdog coverage from your beat. And on Thursday, in addition to a host of panels focused on computer-assisted reporting, limited seating is available for a series of sessions exploring issues involved with starting regional investigative reporting centers.

It's not all work. Come to the Blues Bash on Thursday night, and on Friday, come out for a night of baseball. This is a fun opportunity to unwind and support IRE.  The Baltimore Orioles are playing the Atlanta Braves, and we have a block of group tickets reserved in left field, lower reserve, section 81.  Tickets are $15, with $5 of the ticket price going to IRE.  If you want a ticket, you must reserve one by June 1 to guarantee seating with the group.
