Tapestry is a new conference about online storytelling with data. Tapestry is bringing together people from the worlds of design, academia and data journalism, each of whom has been thinking about data storytelling from a different angle.
The conference is invitation-only and limited to 100 people, but some openings remain available. It will be held on February 27, 2013 in Nashville, Tennessee. Keynotes are Jonathan Corum of The New York Times; Robert Kosara of the Eager Eyes blog, The University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and Tableau; and Scott McCloud of Understanding Comics. There will also be short talks and a demo showcase, as well as time for networking.
If you'd like to reqeuest an invitation, you can do so through the link below, or by emailing efields@tableausoftware.com. There are a number of travel sponsorships available for journalists. Please email efields@tableausoftware.com if you’re interested in requesting one. Transportation will be provided on to the NICAR conference in Louisville, so if you can make it to Tapestry you might be able to make it to NICAR too.
We already have a great list of attendees but we have a few spots left and would love to get more data journalists involved.
