NICAR25 heads to Minneapolis!

Join us March 6-9 at NICAR25 in Minneapolis. IRE's annual data journalism conference offers essential training in the latest computer-assisted reporting tools, tips and trends.

Several NICAR25 fellowships are available with deadlines approaching, including the David Donald Fellowship for educators. NICAR25 fellowships are due by Jan. 6 using IRE's common application form.

Board of Directors to meet Dec. 6

The IRE Board of Directors will meet from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. ET on Friday, December 6, 2024.

The meeting is open to all current IRE members. Members must register for the meeting, tickets can be secured at the link below at no charge.

Fellowships open for Data Bootcamp

IRE's Data Journalism Bootcamp empowers journalists to produce hard-hitting, data-driven stories. We will host three bootcamps at the University of Missouri School of Journalism in 2025.

Fellowship applications are due Jan. 6 for:

TV and radio journalists
Journalists and educators of color
Journalists serving rural communities
Journalism educators.

It was an unprecedented year. Just months before, President Richard Nixon became the first U.S. president to resign after the Watergate Scandal. U.S. forces had recently left Vietnam, and the 30-year conflict was approaching its end.
