Description

A high-schooler in rural South Carolina is accused of raping a teenage girl in 2018.

Months later, he’s accused of raping a second. With those cases pending and while out on bond, he’s accused of raping yet another teenage girl. As the cases inch along in the judicial system, his victims are bullied and shamed, all three changing schools, one moving states away and another committing suicide.

In the last year — armed with a state legislator as his attorney and outfitted with a GPS monitor — 19-year-old Bowen Turner was supposed to be spending his days awaiting trial on judge-ordered house arrest, but as a Live 5 investigation found, Turner was instead playing golf, going to restaurants and even crossing state lines.
