Description

Journalists are often tasked with reporting on some of the world's darkest moments in history, an immense responsibility that can include covering trauma up close. And after more than a year of reporting on an endless amount of trauma caused by the devastating toll of the COVID-19 pandemic, a highly charged presidential election and the global movement for racial justice, the need for journalists to prioritize their mental wellbeing is necessary.

This discussion, featuring the Dart Center's Dr. Elana Newman, will share insights about how to identify and manage stress and grief, coping mechanisms, role of managers, self-care tips and mental health resources for journalists.
